Alphonso James Case Overview
On February 20, 1986, Alphonso James was found guilty of the murder of Del Pascavis. Mr. Alphonso James has maintained his innocence while serving the last 23 years in prison. The Wisconsin Innocence Project spent over 7 years working on the case. An attempt to test DNA evidence, which had been stored improperly, did not result in any evidence to overturn the guilty verdict. However, there neither is nor ever was any DNA evidence that pointed to Alphonso as the murderer. There are six areas where justice may have not been served as outlined on Page Two.
